TRAFFIC LIGHT.
This is how my dad described me in a little poem he wrote on 28-2-1988 when I was 6 years old.
So why traffic light?
I struggled to MAKE decisions.
I overthought the POSSIBLE impact of ANY decision.
The result?
Decision paralysis.
I experienced:
- Regret
- Heightened anxiety
- Worry
- Shame
The way OUT is not to force a decision.
This is what I’ve learned:
- Accepting what you don’t know creates SPACE
- Focusing on the present helps you ORIENT where you are now
- Setting boundaries makes the PLAYING field more manageable
- Intention setting helps you MOVE into a direction
- Acknowledging limits frees up time, energy & resources
“What kind of decision paralysis are you currently experiencing”?
I’d love to hear from you.
