Weird times call for Wyrd Women.
We come into this world strangely wyrd.
Then we learn to adapt, endlessly.
This is not a space for polishing yourself.
Or explaining your intensity.
It’s for women at midlife.
When adaptation stops working.
And authorship becomes unavoidable.
Welcome Wyrd Women you have arrived.
Wyrd means: you are not waiting.
You are making.
The work here is simple and demanding:
- We interrupt the adaptive reflex before it locks in again.
- We stay with intensity instead of managing it.
- We practice authorship in real time, in the presence of other women who can hold it.
Not later. Not once you’re “ready.” At the threshold itself.

Why this is not a typical "women's space"
We are not singling out women because we feel they need special treatment, or because we are anti-men. We are working with a particular kind of creation energy.
Most women-only spaces, for all their warmth, fall into patterns that blunt the very power they claim to honour:
- Polite. Careful. Consensus-driven.
- Life force traded for safety.
- Authority diluted into explanation.
- Intensity smoothed into comfort.
This is a space for women who feel their creative authority stirring and don’t want it therapised, spiritualised, or softened.
You don’t come here to become someone new.
You come because something old no longer has authority over you.
Wyrd Women is not the crossing.
It’s the moment you stop negotiating with what’s already ending.
Fellow Wyrdo's
Sonja Blignaut
Sonja spent twenty-five years helping leaders navigate complexity and build adaptive capacity. Then she stopped believing adaptation was the point. Now she works at thresholds: those messy places where adaptation ends, and waycraft begins.
Sonja doesn’t neatly fit into categories – part scientist, part artist and part mystic. Her practice is in sensing what’s trying to emerge before it has a name.
She’s spent two decades in the territory where strategy meets uncertainty, working with leaders, teams, and systems that have outgrown their old coherence. Her training is in complexity science. Her gift is reading what’s underneath: the pattern that wants to shift, the thing that’s ready to end, the fire that’s already lit.
She doesn’t coach. She doesn’t fix. She opens gates.
Sonja lives in South Africa. Drinks too much coffee. And loves to disappear into wild places, camera in hand.

Mirjam van Vliet
Mirjam works with founders, leaders, and creators at moments when adaptation stops working.
Her work is about authorship, helping people stop translating themselves into what’s acceptable, and start building from what is actually alive.
Mirjam has partnered with visionary founders, corporates, and positive-impact organisations to design experiences that don’t just land – they reorganise how people see, decide, and act.
She is known for her ability to name what others feel but haven’t yet spoken, and to hold intensity without rushing to resolution.
Her work isn’t about becoming more adaptable. It’s about becoming more precise.
You can read more about her work here.
Wyrd Women
You’re not here to endlessly adapt. You’re here to make paths that don’t exist yet.
You’re not becoming less relevant. You’re becoming less adaptable. And that’s the whole f* point.
Wyrd women is for women at midlife – pre-peri, peri, menopause, post-menopause – who feel refusal, collapse of tolerance, loss of patience, and irreversibility rising.
By now, you know that endlessly adapting to dysfunctional systems simply props them up. It’s time to stop adapting and start authoring.
Across three live, 2-hour online circles, you will:
- Witness the threshold you are crossing.
- Share stories, insights, and irreducible truths.
- Activate creative authority in real time.
- Forge work that emerges from our collective web.
Sign up today and receive our carefully designed arrivals – letters, voice transmissions, and ritual prompts – that interrupt the adaption reflex and restore authorship, for free (valued at €100).

FAQs
What is the Imbolc Wyrd Taster?
A 33-minute live, facilitated invocation.
It’s a felt introduction to the Wyrd Women work – how we show up, how we work, and what kind of space this is.
It’s not a talk, workshop, or sharing circle.
You’ll experience the work directly.
Is this therapy, coaching, or a healing space?
No.
We don’t fix, analyse, process, or therapise.
We work with what is alive now, at the threshold you’re already standing in.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No preparation.
Just arrive on time, with a willingness to stay present with intensity.
You don’t need to know what you’re “working on.”
Is this only for women at a certain age?
This work is for women at midlife — broadly understood.
Pre-peri, peri, menopause, post-menopause.
If adaptation is no longer working for you, you’ll recognise yourself here.
Why women-only?
Not because women need special treatment.
And not because we are anti-men.
We work with a specific creative and authoring energy that becomes pronounced at midlife in women.
This container allows that energy to surface without being diluted, explained, or softened.
Is this spiritual or mythic?
We use symbolic language where it serves the work.
We don’t spiritualise, bypass, or romanticise.
Everything here is grounded in lived experience and real-time authorship.
Is the taster required to join Wyrd Women?
No, but it’s a good way to sense if this work and this field are right for you.
What happens after the taster?
The taster stands on its own.
You’ll also receive information about Wyrd Women, the three-session live circle series.
There is no pressure to continue.
